Magnetizing Fixtures

Prototype Magnetizing Fixtures

These give our customers an opportunity to test new designs prior to investing in production tooling, or for situations where they may have customers with very low volume applications. Magnetic Instrumentation has developed and inventoried literally hundreds of magnetizing fixtures for nearly every imaginable application and type of magnet. The tools our engineers have include 2-D/3-D magnetic modeling software, soft/hard magnetic test equipment for material characterization, a wide variety of magnetizers, magnetic products, and field coils for both experimental trials and production runs.

2-Pole Wire-Wound Magnetizing Fixtures (wound coil)

These can be used to magnetize individual or multiple magnets, in one fixture, with an appropriate part holder. They can also be used for more complex assemblies such as Core magnet meter assemblies, sensors, accelerometers, loudspeakers, traveling-wave tubes, motors, and magnetic valve assemblies.

Multi-pole Wire Wound Magnetizing Fixtures

These are used for the magnetization of various sensors, generator rotors, alternator rotors, synchronous motor rotors, multi-pole stator assemblies, and a wide variety of multi-pole configurations of a cylindrical, flat or curved nature.

Multi-Pole Single turn, Copper and Iron Fixtures

These are designed and manufactured with 2 or more poles, for use with high current Pulse Transformers.

Permanent Magnet Magnetizing Fixtures

These are designed for applications where many poles or multiple tracks of poles may be required, precluding the area required for current carrying conductors.
